A silent virtual town lies shrouded in quiet, waiting for a spark of musical energy to bring its colorful streets back to life. In Sprunki - Malcom's Lair [Demo Build], players are invited to step into a dual-natured world where sound is the ultimate key to awakening the environment. By dragging and dropping unique instrument icons onto a roster of 20 distinct "Soundbearer" characters, you can craft custom symphonies that shift the very atmosphere of the stage.

This Scratch-developed mod reimagines the familiar Sprunki cast with vibrant visual designs and a split personality. In the normal mode, the stage is populated by cheerful, rainbow-colored figures like Durple the purple dragon, Sky the blue bear, and Pinki the pink rabbit. However, players can plunge the town into darkness by switching to horror mode, which introduces eerie visual effects, shadow-drenched character designs, and unsettling background tracks. The mod also features a "Rejoyed" version that reimagines the cast in humanized forms, alongside special guest appearances like pghlfilms.

Originally envisioned by washingotton, who gifted ownership of the project to @A185thenommer, Sprunki - Malcom's Lair is a collaborative community effort. @A185thenommer brought the demo build to life alongside contributors like Corzen, who crafted the sound for Mr. Sun and designed several character polos, and Ethan3X, who animated Mr. Sun, Sky, and the opening icon sequence.

Even in its demo state, the mod has captured the attention of players with its striking style. Community members like soft cotton :D have marvelled at its distinct feel, with some players noting how impressive characters like Black look and how well Vineria's custom music track fits the eerie atmosphere. The build also retains a few quirky, unfinished charms—such as a harmless glitch where certain characters' polos do not disappear when new instruments are equipped.
